The new branch of Verkerk Group, an electrical installation company with 375 employees, located in the industrial area in the Eastern Hogebrink Entry into Hoevelaken, Netherlands. The terrain is characterized by a varied collection of rectangular buildings, interspersed here and there with a house. To stand out from the surrounding area has a new special way. Rounded corners and different colors and materials give the building, so that the organization has its own identity. The property has a modern and functional durability, maintenance, expansion and has numerous technical innovations. Rutherford House - modern holiday house by Tim Dorrington Architects 2
Tim Dorrington Architects designed the modern holiday house in Taupo Tauranga, New Zealand. Called “Rutherford House” this house suitable for the hot summers of Lake Taupo and the cold winters for skiing on Mt Ruapehu. Formally the house consists of 4 main elements; (1) a concrete base, which at some points is folded up to contain interior spaces, (2 and 3) two black cedar-clad bedroom blocks, and (4) an open-plan white structured ‘veranda’. The living space arrangement suits the extreme climates of the location, activities and varying degrees of privacy. The large open-plan ‘veranda’ space comprises kitchen, lounge and dining. A snug, a step lower with an open fireplace, can on colder days be closed off from the main space.

The small modern architecture Restaurant Tea House located in the granite peak of Antas in the south side facing the valley of Campanhã, Porto, Portugal. The new building of the house of tea designed by Francisco Portugal e Gomes Architects. Designed with a device in white concrete and black slate of Valongo, intends both, to evoke the memory of ancestral “Dolmens” and the “bench” towards the great game, manifesting itself in wide balance coverage across the light. This device is formally converted into a pergola that produces shade in the glazing and, in conjunction with and the building structure of the house of tea, fills the void of the lower volumetries, minimizes the impact of higher buildings nearby and creates a protected environment the might favour the stillness and contemplation.
