Modern Architecture: Galilee Office Building by Studio Bellecour Architects
Galilee is one of the debut projects realized in the UDZ (Urban De- velopment Zone) Andromède, in Blagnac, near Toulouse in France.
The particular urban details of this UDZ in Blagnac provided a unique climate for the development of a quality architectural project. Green Building Architecture: Urban Solid Waste Collection in Ripagaina
Vaillo + Irigaray Architects designed the green building ‘Urban Solid Waste Collection Central’ in Ripagaina, Huarte, Navarra, Spain.

A Central Urban Solid Waste Collection is a clean building: a building is able to coexist with other uses of a city is not a building that has to hide: but most of them are factory buildings, industrial, “blind”, insensitive to environment.

Villa A: Modern Green Building with Open Living Area

This modern luxury villa designed by Najjar-Najjar Architects in Pöstlingberg, the feature with various functions in one open living area. Named ‘Villa A’, is nearby on the slope of the Poestling Berg, a mountain overlooking Linz the capital of Upper Austria. The Roof is a steel beam grid structure with aluminium panel cladding. On the southern and western side of the building the roof cantilevers beyond the terraces so as to provide an efficient sun protection in summer. The low winter sun warms up the interior space. This implementation of the passive energy concept is supported by a recuperator in the ground and sun collectors on the roof.

The architect’s intention was to embrace various functions in one open living area, accommodating the various functions on different levels, always balancing their functional particularities within an open space.
It is highly energy efficient and fulfils all requirements for a “green building”, as set in the European building standards.
